The Puma Scan Professional analyzers validate a license file installed locally on the workstation / server. If the license validation step fails, a build warning will appear with an error message indicating the reason for the failure.

The Puma Scan license file is invalid. The file may have been corrupted or modified. Please login to the Puma Scan Portal to download a new license file.
The Puma Scan license file could not be found. Please follow the steps below:
This error message indicates that the license has been activated on too many workstations. A single Puma Scan Professional license may be installed on up to three (3) personal workstations owned by a single named user. To activate a license file on a different workstation, an existing activation must be removed. Please contact support [at] pumascan [dot] com for assistance.
Puma Scan licenses must be periodically updated from the license server. This error indicates that Puma Scan Professional has not been able to connect to the license server and needs to be refreshed. Please check your Internet connection.
The Puma Scan license is not valid for the installed product version. For example, this warning will occur when trying to use a Community license with the Professional edition. Please login to the Puma Scan Portal and download the correct license file.
The Puma Scan Professional Trial license is expiring soon. Please login to the Puma Scan Portal to purchase a professional end user license.
The Puma Scan license is unable to activate the current workstation. Activation requires outbound internet connectivity to the Puma Scan Portal. Please check your outbound internet access and restart Visual Studio.
